Before your favorite Shock Top was Shock Top, it was a seasonal brew called “Spring Heat Spiced Wheat”. Using proprietary wheat and brewed with every ounce of our passion, this quirky, quality beer won gold and bronze in the ’06 & ’07 North America Beer Awards for best Belgian White. That’s right: we shocked the beer world.

We knew we had brewed something special and that this unfiltered, award-winning taste deserved to be shared. So we changed the name to match its shockingly refreshing taste and Shock Top was born.
